On Nov. 2, the Lynbrook community gathered with the Sympson family to plant a tree at Marion Street Elementary School in honor of highly esteemed educator and late district resident Dr. Patricia Sympson.

The Sympson family has long been associated with nurturing trees in our district, overseeing and assisting with planting hundreds of trees on our grounds and throughout the Village. Dr. Sympson's husband, Bob, and her daughter, Veronica Krendel, with longtime family friend, District Grounds Supervisor Mike McDougal, led the planting ceremony. #OwlProud #OwlCares
