Remote Learning Quick Start Guide

In the event buildings in Lynbrook Public Schools close, here are a few key steps to help your students participate effectively in remote instruction with their classmates.

Students should
  • Please arrive online at the scheduled time.
  • Go to your class learning management platform using the strategy taught by your classroom teacher, either through ClassLink or by going directly to the LMS website. (Links appear below.)
  • On the SeeSaw or Schoology page, find the link to the Microsoft Teams meeting.
  • Demonstrate appropriate behaviors while engaging with the teacher and peers.

Reminder: Use your district credentials when signing into ClassLink, SeeSaw, Schoology, or Microsoft Teams.

Suggestions for a successful Microsoft Teams session
  • Provide a quiet location with few distractions (siblings, pets, televisions, cellphones).
  • Reduce use of other web-enabled devices in the home to preserve available bandwidth.
  • Avoid sitting in front of windows or bright sources of light.
  • Keep your microphone muted until the teacher requests otherwise.
  • Keep the camera on throughout the lesson.
  • Parents and siblings should avoid being within range of the camera and microphone.
Policies and Guidance
  • Please abide by Lynbrook’s Acceptable Use Policy and Internet Safety Policy.
  • Students are expected to adhere to the Lynbrook School District Code of Conduct throughout Remote Instruction opportunities.
