NYSSMA, All-County, and LISFA
Music festivals give Lynbrook musicians the chance to perform beyond their own school, receive feedback from experienced adjudicators, and make music with talented students from across the region. This page brings together information about the three festivals our students take part in: NYSSMA, All-County, and LISFA.
Our Festivals
NYSSMA
New York State School Music Association
Students prepare a solo or ensemble piece and perform it for a trained adjudicator, who provides a rating and written comments. It is a valuable way for musicians to set goals and grow.
All-County
County Honor Ensembles
Selected students join musicians from schools across the county to rehearse and perform together in honor bands, choruses, and orchestras.
LISFA
Long Island String Festival Association
A festival opportunity for string students to perform and grow alongside young musicians from across Long Island.
