A new year begins for the Lynbrook Owls community

The start of a new school year brought excitement throughout the Lynbrook School District as students returned to their schools on Sept. 2 for a day filled with smiles, reunions and new beginnings.
At the Kindergarten Center, parents accompanied their children as they streamed off the bus with supplies packed away in backpacks. Nerves quickly melted into excitement as teachers and staff greeted students and set a welcoming tone for the year ahead.
Across all Lynbrook schools, students settled into new classrooms, met their teachers, reconnected with friends and began getting acquainted with the routines and expectations that will guide them throughout the school year. The first day was especially meaningful for Lynbrook High School seniors embarking on their final year before graduation.
Following the successful first day, students and staff are looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, achievement and memories that will last well beyond the classroom.
