Who Is Eligible to Vote?
1. U.S. Citizens
2. Over the age of 18
3. Who have resided in the School District for at least 30 days, and
4. Who are registered to vote.
Are You Registered?
If you are uncertain as to whether you are registered in the school district and eligible to vote, call the district clerk at 516-887-6558 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. If you are not currently registered, you may register in the office of the district clerk, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. up to and including Wednesday, May 15, 2019, or register with the Board of Registration of the Lynbrook Union Free School District on the registration day to be held Wednesday, May 15th from 12-9 p.m. at Lynbrook High School.
*This year we have converted to an electronic system for the election. It was discovered that some households were voting in the incorrect polling place according to the parameters of our election districts. Every registered voter will receive a postcard with Budget Vote information. For those whose polling location has changed, the postcard will indicate the new location. Households affected will also receive a letter. You can also check the poll place finder below

Do You Need an Absentee Ballot?
Pursuant to Section 2018-a of the Education Law of the State of New York, absentee ballots may be cast for the election of members of the Board of Education and budget. Information pertaining to applications for absentee ballots may be obtained by calling the district clerk at 516-887-6558
An application for an absentee ballot must be received by the district clerk at least seven days before the bond referendum if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before the bond referendum if the ballot is to be issued to the voter in person. Absentee ballot applications are available in the district clerk’s office or may be downloaded here. Please return the completed application to: District Clerk, Lynbrook UFSD, 111 Atlantic Avenue, Lynbrook, NY 11563.
Polling Locations
School Election District No. 1 shall be all of that portion of Lynbrook Union Free School District beginning at the center line of Sunrise Highway and continuing to the northernmost boundary of the district. Voters residing in School Election District No. 1 shall cast their ballots at North Middle School on Merrick Road.
School Election District No. 2 shall be all of that portion of Lynbrook Union Free School District lying south of the center line of Sunrise Highway and including all of the area south to the center line of Scranton Avenue. Voters residing in School Election District No. 2 shall cast their ballots at Lynbrook High School on Union Avenue.
School Election District No. 3 shall be all of that portion of Lynbrook Union Free School District at the center line of Scranton Avenue and extending south to the southerly boundaries of the District. Voters residing in School Election District No. 3 shall cast their ballots at South Middle School on Union Avenue.
