SUMMER DRIVER'S EDUCATION REGISTRATION
Will be held in the HS Cafeteria from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on June 4th. All information can be found on the district home page under the parent link. 

TABLET USER AGREEMENT
A reminder to all 9th, 10th and 11th grade students: Please bring in your signed tablet user agreement and insurance check to room 102 by Friday, May 31st.

PROM TICKETS ON SALE
Tickets will be sold June 3rd and 4th during lunch period. 

PRE-PROM MEETING
Attention Seniors who are interested in attending the prom. Tuesday, May 21st, is the first mandatory pre-prom meeting. There are only two held and you MUST attend one with a parent. The second meeting is Thursday, May 30th. The meetings start at 7:30 pm in the auditorium. 

OWL BUDDIES MEETING
There will be an Owl Buddies meeting Thursday, May 9th after school in room 306B.

HORIZON MEETING
There will be a 7:00 am meeting Friday, May 10th for anyone who applied for a position for Horizon. 

DAMAGED TABLET REPAIRS 
The technology department would like all Lynbrook High School students to take a close took at their tablets for any damage. Please bring all damaged tablets to room 102 by May 9th. 

YEARBOOK SALES
Seniors order your  yearbook at www.yearbook forever.com. Not sure if you already purchased one? Check out the list posted on the Seniors Bulletin Board in the cafeteria. 

HOFSTRA COLLEGE EXPO
There will be a College Expo at Hofstra on Wednesday, April 10th. Come down to Guidance to pick-up a College Expo Catalog. 

ATTENTION SENIORS: 
Tickets to your Senior Dinner will be sold in the cafeteria during lunch periods: 
Monday - 4/1
Tuesday - 4/2
Wednesday - 4/3

Tickets cost $20.00 each. CASH ONLY
The Senior Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, April 6th at 7:30 pm  

BLOOD DRIVE 
The Blood Drive is Friday, April 5th. Please sign-up during lunch periods in the cafeteria.

CHALLENGE DAY 2019 IS MONDAY JANUARY 28TH
This year our program includes every student in every grade. Bell schedule for Monday has been emailed to all students and copies are available on the counter in the main office.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION MAKE UP CLASS SCHEDULE
You MUST be on time, prepared and ready to participate by the beginning of each session. Late students will not be allowed into the gymnasium. Students must enter through the FRONT of the school building. NOT the gymnasium doors on Carpenter avenue.
               Wednesday - 1/23 - 3:00 pm
               Thursday - 1/24 - 7:00 am

GIVE KIDS A SMILE DAY
Those participating in the "Give Kids A Smile" day field trip......the mandatory orientation meeting is Wednesday, January 30th during your scheduled lunch period. Be sure to report to the first floor conference room.

A TASTE OF TECH FIELD TRIP
Attention all 10th and 11th grade students who are interested in going to BOCES next year. There is a field trip scheduled for February 13th. You must pick up and return a signed permission slip from guidance.
ALL FORMS ARE DUE BACK NO LATER THAN JANUARY 25TH!

CHALLENGE DAY
Challenge Day assembly will be held on Monday, January 28th. The bell schedule is located on the main office counter.

BLOOD DRIVE
The next blood drive will be held on Friday, February 1st. See Dr. Tieniber if you have any questions.

CABARET NIGHT TICKETS
Cabaret Night is Friday, January 25th! Tickets are now on sale in the cafeteria during lunch periods. Tickets are $10 each...limited seating. See Mr. Jamrozek with any question.

MATH HONOR SOCIETY MEETING
There's a meeting this Friday, January 18th at 7:00 am in room 208. All members should attend.

OWL BUDDIES MEETING
There will be an Owl Buddies meeting next Thursday, January 31st in room 316. Come join the fun!

BOYS LAX PLAYERS
All players must see Coach Leighley for an information sheet and JV players must go to a mandatory meeting Thursday, January 17th at 3:00 in room 301.

GIVE KIDS A SMILE DAY
Are you in need community service hours? If so, why not volunteer with the Nassau County Dental Society for their annual "Give Kids A Smile" day.

CAP AND GOWN MEASUREMENTS

Cap and Gown measurements will be taken Thursday, November 29th, from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm in the cafeteria.

CROSSWALK AREA REMINDER!!!
The County has redone the crosswalk area at the fork of Union Avenue and Atlantic Avenue. This was done for your safety. Please walk in the crosswalks and not diagonally across the two streets. Press the buttons at the crosswalk to light the signs so oncoming cars know there are pedestrians waiting to cross. Everyone's cooperation will help keep everyone safe this year.

CLASS RINGS - JUNIOR CLASS
Attention all Juniors: Are you interested in purchasing a class ring? If so, stop by the Main Office and pick up a packet. Representative from the company will be in the cafeteria on November 13th and 14th from 10:30 - 1:00 to answer any questions you may have and to see samples. See Mrs. Reinert or Mr. Tranchina with any questions.

ISLAND HARVEST FOOD COLLECTION
The Career Development Program and the National Honor Society are collecting canned goods and other nonperishable items for Island Harvest. Please put your donations in the box in the main entrance lobby. Thank you!

BOWLING MEETING
There will be a brief Bowling meeting for all those interested Friday, November 2nd at 2:50 pm in the weight room.

TRI-M LUCK DUCKS
Luck Ducks are now on sale! Wish a cast, crew, or pit member good luck on their performance in this year's production of Sound of Music!
Come down to the cafeteria during lunch periods.

SCHOOL DOCTOR
The school doctor will be in the nurse's office on Monday 10/29 at 7:00 am. All sport paperwork MUST be signed by a parent or guardian  -  the doctor will NOT see you without your paperwork!

Picture retake day is Friday, October 26th in the main lobby conference room.

MOVIE NIGHT!
Our GSA is hosting a movie night fundraiser featuring the film Love, Simon on Friday, October 26 at 7 PM in the LHS auditorium. All are welcome to join us!

PTA CLOTHING ORDERS HAVE ARRIVED
If you ordered clothing from the PTA it is ready for pick-up! Pick up is Monday, October 22nd from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Dawn Ficarra's home located at 8 Hazel Place, Lynbrook.

SPANISH CLUB
The Spanish club will meet at 3:00 pm on Monday, October 22nd. Please meet outside the main office lobby. Please bring Day Of The Dead decorations for our altar project. New members are welcome to join us.

DEBATE TEAM
The next debate team competition will be Thursday, November 8th at 5:30 pm. We will have a team practice Thursday, October 18th at 3:00 pm in room 217.

COOKING CLUB
The Cooking Club will meet Wednesday, October 17th at 3:00 pm in room 317. We will discuss upcoming events and yummy creations that will be made. See Mrs. Stern in room 317 if you have any question.

MATH HONOR SOCIETY
There will be an IMPORTANT meeting this Friday, October 12th at 7:00 am in room 208. DON'T MISS IT!!!!

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD
Science Olympiad will be meeting Tuesday, October 9th at 3:00 pm in room 215. All members should attend to select upcoming events.

THE START CLUB
The START club focuses on helping those less fortunate in our surrounding neighborhoods. The START club will hold its first meeting next Thursday, October 11th in room 309C immediately after school. Hope to see you all there.

JV OR VARSITY BASKETBALL TRYOUTS
Attention all boys interested in trying out for the JV or Varsity Basketball team this upcoming season....there will be a brief informational meeting on Wednesday, October 3rd at 3:00 pm in the HS cafeteria to discuss pre-season opportunities including open gyms and workout dates. Please do you're best to attend. See Mr. Adams with any questions.

TOY LENDING CLUB
The first meeting of the school year will be Tuesday, October 2nd at 3:00 pm in room 220. It will be a short meeting. Any questions, please see Ms. Ezaqui.

SCIENCE OLYMPIAD
The first Science Olympiad meeting of the year will be Wednesday, October 3rd, at 3:00 pm in room 215. All old an new embers should attend. See Mr. Tranchina with any questions.

KONA ICE FUNDRAISER
Help the Environmental Club support the victims of Hurricane Florence. The KONA ice truck will be here Monday, September 17 10th period and after school.

GAY STRAIGHT ALLIANCE MEETING
The 1st meeting will be on Tuesday, September 18 at 3:00 pm in the Library. All are welcome - bring a friend.

CAR WASH
Please come out and support your Lynbrook High School Cheerleaders during their annual car wash this Friday, September 14th, in the HS and KC parking lot. For your convenience tickets can be purchased in advance from any JV or Varsity cheerleader for only $5.00 or you can just pull up on Friday!  Thank you in advance for the support!

DEBATE TEAM
There will be an information meeting for the Debate Team Thursday, January 13th in room 217 at 3:00 pm.

DRIVERS EDUCATION REGISTRATION
Drivers Education Registration will be held September 13th from 8:00 am - 11:00 am in the LHS Cafeteria. Registration forms are in the main office, Mr. Finder's office, or online under the parent link. Contact Mr. Finder with any questions at 516-792-5160.
