Student Council

The Waverly Park fourth and fifth grade Student Council members campaigned for the positions of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The students worked tirelessly to create daily slogans for the announcements. They created dazzling posters which were displayed around the school. Each candidate showed their ideas and creativity in commercials which were broadcasted to all of the voters. The culmination of the campaign was an assembly where each candidate expressed their qualifications for the position and their ideas in a speech. The third, fourth, and fifth grade students voted for one member of each category. The Student Council moderators are Shari Bowes and Courtney Jacobs.

Foreign Language Club

Students in grade 3 are invited to participate in an after-school Foreign Language Club where they can chose an introduction to Spanish or Italian.  Basic vocabulary an introduction to culture are taught in a fun and informal learning environment.

Math, Science, and Technology

The MST Club allows 2nd and 3rd graders to participate in fun, hands-on, educational activities that ignite their minds to think like a scientist. Students will engage in various problem solving activities that stretch their thinking and creativity to design as well as test their different solutions.
