Lynbrook Owls flock for victorious homecoming

The Lynbrook Owls community came out in full force on Oct. 24 as the annual homecoming parade led to a triumphant victory on the Marion Street School field.
Sirens from local police and fire departments were heard down Union Avenue and Marion Street, signaling that the parade was making its way from Lynbrook High School. The Lynbrook High School marching band kept the beat as they were followed by various sports teams, local institutions and students representing the freshmen, junior, sophomore and senior classes.
Seniors in the kickline, cheer and football teams received individual honors as they stepped onto the field hand-in-hand with parents. Kickoff quickly led to a strong lead by the Owls, who achieved a decisive victory of 49-22 over Cold Spring Harbor. During halftime, the marching band, kickline and cheer teams entertained the crowd with dazzling performances.
