Important Notice: July 8, 2021

Hello, This is Leonard Bruno, Director of the Lynbrook Summer Playground. Due to impending storm Elsa accompanied with heavy rains and very strong winds particularly on the south shore of Long Island and for the safety of the children and staff, Lynbrook Summer Playground at both North Middle School and South Middle School will be closed tomorrow, Friday, July 9th and will resume on Monday, July 12th.

Thank you and stay safe.

Reminders: July 2, 2021

We begin our Lynbrook Summer Playground on July 6th at North and South Middle Schools. Our program is essentially outdoors. We will go indoors for arts/crafts, pop up storm, emergencies and heat advisories.

Drop off and Pick up will be caravan style or children can be walked to the site. If a camper is dropped off by car, please write the last name and grade in big letters affixed to a paper on the passenger door. Parents should remain in the car at drop off.

Children must wear masks at drop off and will be wearing masks at pick up. Whenever indoors, masks will be worn.

Based on the weather, there will be sprinklers; campers should have a towel, and it is recommended that they wear sneakers.

Apply sunscreen, bring a snack and cold water. Snacks will be eaten outdoors.

In case of projected inclement weather or heavy rain a phone connect message will be made regarding summer playground closure and or need of immediate pickup.

Emergency cards that will be distributed must be filled out and returned to Head Counselors.
