Lynbrook High School senior Kiera Derrig and junior Ursula Ratkiewicz were recognized as 2020 Scholastic Art and Writing Award recipients by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers. Kiera earned two silver key awards for her paintings entitled “The Orange Peel” and “The Spartan” and also earned honorable mention for every piece in her portfolio that she submitted. This included paintings, mixed media pieces and drawings. Ursula received the silver key award for her painting “Misplaced.” The silver key award is given to students with stand-out work that demonstrates exceptional ability. Congratulations to both students on this terrific achievement!
