The Summer Playground program in the Lynbrook School District is off to a sunny start, with days of engaging, energetic and collaborative activities for children.
Hosted this year at Lynbrook North and South middle schools, the Summer Playground program welcomes all Lynbrook Schools students and Village of Lynbrook children entering kindergarten through eighth grade. On July 18, students wore eyepatches and hook hands for Pirate Day, which included an outdoor parade followed by a cooldown with ices. Frequent activities also include arts and crafts, bowling field trips, tie-dying shirts, martial arts classes and weekly themes. As the Summer Playground program shines on, students are excitedly anticipating a day of fun and games during Carnival Day at the end of the month.
