At West End Elementary School, Ms. Keon's fifth grade class met with their first grade buddies from Mrs. Fitzsimmons' class to celebrate and learn about Hispanic Heritage Month. The students engaged in interactive activities that highlighted the rich cultures and traditions of Hispanic and Latinx communities. They explored traditional music, danced to festive rhythms, and learned about influential figures in Hispanic history. To further immerse themselves in the celebration, the students created colorful art projects inspired by Hispanic cultural symbols and shared stories from various Hispanic countries. This collaborative event fostered a sense of community and cultural appreciation among the students! #OwlProud #OwlLearns
