Waverly Park fifth graders use 3D printing in seasonal craft

Fifth grade students at Waverly Park had an incredible hands-on learning experience in January! They not only learned about snowflakes and how they form, but also used technology to bring their knowledge to life.

By exploring databases like Discovery Education, the students gained a deeper understanding of how factors like temperature and moisture affect the structure of snow crystals. Then, they used Tinkercad to design and 3D-print snowflakes in the form of dendrites, plates and columns. This combination of science and technology is a great way to foster creativity and problem-solving skills while making the learning experience more interactive. #OwlProud #OwlLearns
