During the March 13 Lynbrook Board of Education meeting, Cathleen Myers, who had a career that spanned 42 years in Lynbrook Schools, announced her retirement.

Mrs. Myers was known as the “voice of the building” for the last 14 years at Lynbrook High School. She began her career as a school monitor in 1982 at Lynbrook High School and later transitioned to be a teacher aide. There, she found her passion working with students in the special education department. After serving in the role for 22 years, she worked at Lynbrook’s Central Administration as a typist clerk for two years before returning to her home at LHS.

Trustees shared a comment that Joseph Rainis, former LHS principal, shared about Mrs. Myers: “We love your energy, your quirky sense of humor, and your presence with us.”
The District thanks Mrs. Myers for her decades of service to Lynbrook students and staff.
