Members of the Student Council at Marion Street Elementary School led a schoolwide project to make Valentine’s Day cards for children receiving long term care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in partnership with The Mary Ruchalski Foundation. Students filled the cards with inspiring messages of hope, love and encouragement for these children. This project helped spread awareness for pediatric cancer throughout the whole school community. In addition, Mrs. Ruchalski visited the Marion Street Student Council to talk about Mary and her mission to continue to raise awareness and funding for research for Pediatric Cancer through her foundation.
